10 tahun pertama

i was never the big fan of high-school gathering of my batch as i always went clueless as for the first few minutes or hours, being the most-rare face to appear among the them, been spent up asking where, what and how's my life been since we left the school. i always have the thought of feeling weird to fit in the conversation they carried on after interview session done.

i guess, today it changes. my perception towards them.

i barely slept last night. not because i was excited about the gathering, but i was too tired and fatigue. almost i thought i couldn't make it today. the clock ticking as early as 6.30am to wake me up and i moved around 7.45am as bullah told me to be there around 8.30am.

this is my first time to drive to subang area, alone and as first timer rule, i lost as i forgot to confirm which exit should i take when driving along the federal highway. even after took subang exit, again i was clueless as i thought there'll be big signboard of sunway pyramid that will guide me. sigh..first timer luck wasn't with me, but still i manage to arrive at the megalanes on time as the event started with our school song.

i think it's been 10 years since the last time i sang the song, and this morning, the singing brought the memories back. seeing our exsas batch from as early as 1977, sang with all hearts...hehe.

the game was fun and enjoyable, but meeting my good old friends was ecstatic. 10 years...that's how long i haven't met most of them and i was flattered to see how thrilled each of us. again, being to rare-face of the gathering, i was the magnet and as you bet the interview on how's my life been, being the major subject to them. i wasn't offended or annoyed this time, but thrilled as i felt the gesture of the 'welcome to year 1997, and we are the guys'.

i couldn't stopped laugh as nazir with his face came to me; nih razeif...nih...asyik2 nombor satu jer..hehe. while hadi and azie sat on both sides of me, interviewing me, like i've been arrested by them. hehehe. i was not the party of the house, and some might see me being such introvert, but one thing for sure that i realised, my batch never left me out from the party.

we had lunch together after that, but some of us had to excuse earlier due to some matters.

the early morning wake up and the 3-games bowling really put me into sleepy mood, while my fatigueness gave me headache. i was driving out from sunway pyramid and the disaster started. my plan to attend edz's wedding afterthat turned out to be the hunt for 'exit to KL' and honestly, i almost slept while driving this afternoon. last, i decided to go back, instead of hunting for edz's house and after 2 hrs, i arrived home.

it's been quite a day, with some regret as not able to attend edz's wedding. but i would wrap up the gathering was enjoyable and memorable. i would scrap the old thoughts about them and wish could join them again in the future.

it reminds me back, what ridzuan from batch used to write in my yearbook, ' remember us, as we are your brothers and sisters in semsas'. the laughter, the craziness, brought us back to those days when we where that young. hehehe. yeap..thanx guys for the day.

10 tahun pertama berlalu pantas, kita membesar dan bertambah matang, namun tidak ada apa yang boleh membawa pergi semangat dan jiwa batch spm97.
