The launching of DD YPC this morning was ok. Ok in a sense that the turn out was quite as the hall was full, ok in a sense that having that much support from the top management as our SGM, GMs and SMs attended and involved in the Q&A session etc.
But what shafik did really put the ball straight on the face of the committee. ‘What is the objective of the club’? and I felt funny to see how defensive our club chairman reacts to such questions. He’s well presented guy, but could be pretty much arrogant in some way when overboard. May be he’s not, pardon me. Anyway, I don’t have problem with him, just a glimpse that made feel annoyed a bit some times.
The SGM’s speech was quite thoughtful, even he was kind of lack of energy in delivery. May be that was his way of doing it, but it was good to know how much the management appreciate us, the young professionals of the company (from what he shared with us).
Back to the office after lunch, as started to do ‘my work’, finally, one after another annoyance bugging me and for sure on top was Adel that came with me and ordered me to have the review for CTD on the next day etc. I don’t understand this guy and I have to admit how much I hate to be such a pretentious in front of him to agree etc. Darn. I couldn’t give him the ‘no, I’m busy’ thing as felt like so irritating to explain or ask him to postpone the review. Give me a break please.
I feel so unfair as for the past few weeks, I’ve been doing other people’s job…like the production enhancement compilation, the budget endless compilation, the CTD review etc…and all came as I just started giving my commitment to do my own job. Sigh.
May be this is the fate of being junior staff in kuli-department.
