as the curtain falls... ( unedited review of the 12 things )
what has happened to those 12-things that i promised to myself early of this year?
1) work life - stop complaining and worrying. start living. i get what i want, and i will use the chance given as good as it deserves. I'm coming PCSB!
the half year review mentioned -i guess i'm doing ok so far with this. I know, the WPB thing gave me that much headache and distraction from concentrate on my technical work etc. , but overall things still look better. the minor workplace issues like the one with my supervisor, colleagues etc. i guess it is normal for time being.not much change. but then i realised that i'm missing something. a role model. an aspiring leader. somebody that could aspire and motivates me.
2) Register for my Master in PE program.
the half-year review said - well...it's either to complete my E1 skill group training first and nominate myself for next 2 years etc. , but i guess i'm gonna grab the chance if there's for me this year. I've put it in my IPC under personal development plan.i just knew that i missed the nomination window for the program. honestly, it was such a disappointment to know that i was not even in loop of the news.
3) Get a DSLR and kick-off my photography thing back. I'm thinking to re-do all the project thing, and start selling my picture via online stock which i have just registered. Get and establish another source of income. For the love of photography...
half year review said - Sony just launched their Alpha system and i'm thinking to get one for myself. A good laptop with Duo-Core thing also a must....but i'm not sure on the plan of making photography as my 2nd income..as i haven't started things that much so far. May be..some time later..i'm still with my old trusty dynax 7 and i don't think i'm gonna get any DSLR very soon. Anyway, i just turned intel down as i bought my GeMuK. A presario that breathes on AMD Turion X2 and GeForce 6150.
it hasn't been a productive year for me as i think it was less than 10 rolls of superia i had been shot.
4) Buy and read more books.
the half review mentioned -Hmm...so far so good...i just finished Tony Parson's latest and The Little Prince, while now trying to get Harper Lee's classic before buying myself the next one. I have few in my wishlist...
i've completed this year:
1. The Privilege of Youth by Dave Pelzer
2. Stories We Could Tell by Tony Parson
3. To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee
4. The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell
5. The Little Prince by Antoine St. Exupery
other than these, i've been a frequent reader of Men's Health, Digital Photography and Personal Money. Would this count?
5) To practice my 60:40 income management
half year review -Not so good as i've been kind of lost of track with this. Sigh...I failed this badly. May be as i opted to buy my Baby Jazz?
6) Keep writing.
half year review mentioned -Hmm...okla kot. I've my entries for every month here.not much change.
7) Get things prioritise, how does it sound? i've been kind of un-prioritise buddy, i guess and forgot certain things need to be done first etc.
half year review mentioned -To vague to be measured, some might put it that way. I'm catching up with this.i would quote the same thing as i mentioned above.
8) Not to forget celebrating/wishing the memorable days, be it birthday, marriage etc. of family's members, and good friends.
half year review - Friendster has been really helpful on this matter.i'm losing the grip on this thing. quite a failure as reaching the end of the year.
9) iBook or new lappie? for sake of photography and cyber enterpreneurship.
half year review -Still thinking and trying to get the best deal.
finally, as mentioned before, i bought an AMD based lappie on 1st Dec 06. it was quite late to come out with the cyber enterpreneurship thingy as i'm already on the 12th of the year!
10) Losing weight, be more health concious, and built my eight-packs. hehe.
half year review said -My current BMI index is 23.9 and it is still within the ideal-range. But my belly kind of a pot one, sometimes, as i haven't spent that much on them. Be more health concious? I should've done more.the pot belly is still there, while knowing that my BMI is still within the ideal range and my weight fluctuated between 63 to 67 kg, i feel weird when people said ' napa kurus sgt nih? kenapa muka ko cekung sgt ?'. hmm...
11) Start to commit into a serious relationship?
half year review -No comment. i think i want to take this out.the break-up (finally) that happened last month, hurts and still hurts me. i feel sad knowing it couldn't end in a good way. our emotion drove us being such a defensive person...and turned us being selfish. it's all about me and you, not about us.
12) Breakaway. I'm thinking of somewhere overseas or locally peace and quiet.
half-year review mentiond -Would a backtrip help? I'm thinking to join the backpacking trip to Cambodia sometime this year.budget lari, cuti takdak, member xdak...apa lagi?
note:
this is a raw review of the 12 thing. aku ngantuk gaban as nak get this done before new year. somehow, i'll write more on how 2006 has been for me later. adios...
