reality bites
so it's elliot yamin's turn. lowest vote of the top3 and my wish to see him in the finaly crashed. when the competition reached top4, i was thinking that Chris and Elliot gonna make to the finale, but then Elvis' week was really a disaster for him. It was totally wrong for him. The song, the style, the voice.
Elliot is original and he's having a big future in music. This guy asset is his voice, plus his humble attitude. I remember his rendition on A Song for You ( previously i heard sung by Christina ) that made Paula cried and had him a big applause from the hall. It was his best performance, and probably the best vocal performance of the season. He hit the best during Elvis week, when he sang two of Elvis songs in his own way. He wasn't that bad last week, he performed beautiful and relaxing, but then the songs chosen couldn't really bring his best to win people heart. Open Arm sounds too relax while it should be soulful and big, while Paula's choice again too monotonous for him even he sang beautiful and so on. It wasn't his luck to step into the final even he's been so far the most 'original' for me.
Taylor is such an annoying old-man. I don't know...but i really hates this guy. He has a little bit of Elliot soul-voice...but he sounds flat and monotonous. I can't stand as he is too animated when performed like he's enjoying himself that much. Yuck!...especially during the Elvis week...and i just hate when he does this 'kepit kaki' thing even when singing ballads.
Catherine..overrated and irritating. May be because she's beautiful, she got the votes. The thing is, she's just a copycat of Kelly and Carrie, well more like Carrie who can only stand straight when singing Angel Brought Me here, in the last season. Her voice..i mean the way she sings especially with the 'meneran-buat-buat' is very annoying.
